Great news: Orwell is nominated for the PLAY15<\/a> Award as “Most Innovative Newcomer”! We are very happy about this and can’t wait for the jury’s decision, which will be on September 19th. So keep your fingers crossed for us!<\/p>\n

The PLAY15 Festival is a computer game festival and conference taking place annually in Hamburg. The\u00a0conference is\u00a0specialised in\u00a0social, political and education-orientated examination of digital games. PLAY15 targets\u00a0pupils, teachers, students, scientists, people from the gaming industry and those who are interested in culture. Everyone, across all ages and from all over the world, is\u00a0invited to discover the diverse possibilities that digital games offer, try them out and to explore their creative potential.<\/p>\n

PLAY15 \u2013 festival for creative gaming introduces the new Creative Gaming Awards<\/a> in the categories Most Creative Game and Most Innovative Newcomer Game. The award is particularly for projects\u00a0that\u00a0use\u00a0computer games as a\u00a0creative medium and encourage\u00a0the player’s creativity in the game.\"Creative<\/a><\/p>\n

The Most Innovative Newcomer Award\u00a0focuses on the\u00a0game idea and the innovation that is connected with the development of the game. This can be showcased by a special gameplay, transmediality, unknown possibilities of interaction within the game, essential graphic innovations, new interfaces, uncommon atmospheres, visual breakthroughs or new topics that are being dealt with in the game. The\u00a0award\u00a0is endowed with 1.500 \u20ac, furthermore the developers will be supported by Kai Fiebig\u00a0from Daedalic Entertainment\u00a0for 1 year, who\u00a0will help them with the development of the game.<\/p>\n

For this year’s PLAY award there were over 150 submissions from 20 different countries.<\/p>\n
